Experience
Smurfit Westrock
Software Engineering Intern
Remote · May 2025 – Aug 2025
Worked on scrum team to help manage and document a legacy ERP system for papermills. Gained experience migrating technologies 1-year post merger.
System Documentation
Collaborated with team members to create a repeatable and detailed documentation template for our ASP.net ERP system. This template included detailed UML diagrams, User-flow, and system calls. I authored documentation for 10+ applications within the system which helps support a planned migration to a new cloud based ERP system.
User Stories
Completed several user stories from start to finishduring my internship at Smurfit Westrock. This includes creating a user story after noticing issues with the systems functionality during testing as well as creating a pull request after implementing changes and locally testing my solution. I gained hands on experience using the software development lifecycle and learned how to work in a collaborative environment.
International Paper
Data Analytics Intern
Georgetown Mill · Georgetown, SC · May 2024 – Aug 2024
Worked with production and process data to develop reporting, monitoring, and analytical tools for paper-machine operations at International Paper's Georgetown Mill.
Power BI Reporting
Created Power BI reports for three paper machines to monitor run schedules, machine performance, and acceptance percentages. These reports were previously made manually daily by collecting mill data from 3 seperate databases. Power BI allowed for this process to be automated with real-time insights.

Process Health Maps
Built Process Health Maps using PI AF and PI Vision to provide real-time insight into equipment operating conditions. These dashboards were built by using historical data to determine optimal running conditions for each process area.

Multivariate Analysis Models
Developed multivariate analysis models using SIMCA to use operational data to create an alarm value for a specific process area. This value helped operators and process engineers determine the running conditon where a value less than 1 was "healthy" and a value greater than 1 was "unhealthy".
